Frequently asked questions
What is the Massello Round Marble Dining Table made from?
It's made from solid, natural marble — both the round tabletop and the two slab legs are cut from real quarried stone, not a veneer, laminate or engineered composite. The veining and colour are naturally occurring rather than printed onto the surface.
Which marble colourways is this table available in?
The table is available in four colourways: Beige Travertine, Red Travertine, Viola Calcutta and Verdi Alpi. This range covers a warm neutral, a red-toned stone, a violet-veined marble and a bold green finish, all on the same round crossed-leg design.
Are the legs solid marble, or is the base built around a different core?
Each leg is a full, solid slab of the same stone as the tabletop, with no timber or metal core underneath. This is why the veining runs in continuous bands down each leg, rather than being pieced together from smaller sections.
How many people does the table seat?
The round top comfortably seats six or more, depending on the exact diameter and chair spacing chosen. The crossed-leg base is set back from the edge, which keeps legroom clear around the full circumference.
Why do the two legs cross underneath the table instead of using four separate legs?
The crossed-slab base distributes the weight of the round top across two wide points of contact rather than four narrow ones, giving the table a stable, architectural stance. It also keeps the underside open and uncluttered, which is why it's a popular choice for round dining tables at this scale.
Is this table real marble, or is it a composite/veneer finish?
It's genuine natural marble throughout, in every colourway offered. There's no MDF core, resin coating or printed veneer involved anywhere in the construction, regardless of which of the four finishes is selected.
Can this table be made to custom sizes or in a different marble?
Yes, the design can be produced to custom diameters and in a marble outside the standard four colourways, subject to slab availability. Trade buyers should share their preferred size and stone type upfront so we can confirm feasibility and lead time before quoting.
Is this dining table suitable for commercial or hospitality projects?
Yes, the solid slab construction and substantial weight make it well suited to hospitality, showroom and high-specification residential projects. Verdi Alpi and Viola Calcutta are often chosen where a project wants a more distinctive, statement colourway rather than a neutral tone.
